I told you this was oldies but goodies from our Spring and Summer. My sister Amy got married this spring. She and Marco are living their happily ever after and here is the day that started it all...
Amy wanted everyone in suits and hats. She wanted the reception to look like we had all just gone to church in the south. I think we succeeded. She had an outdoor brunch on a lake. It was a lovely day and that is saying something because April in Denver can go either way. I think heaven was smiling for us and the weather reflected that.
A couple of funny stories...
Marco asked my son, Jack to be his best man. Jack even gave the toast at the reception; this is what he said."A few years ago in Primary I said a prayer that my Aunt could lose some weight and get married. I guess it came true. Congratulations!"
We had ordered quiche from a local bakery for the brunch. These were amazing quiche and so we ordered extra. Well, we ran out. It was towards the end of the morning but my Mom was just so shocked because we over ordered. Well, I assured her that it was not poor planning but people going back and back and back for more. My sister-in-law Kelli fessed up to eating six pieces! Note in pictures she is the one who is a size 4. Whatever.

Get out of town! Jack did NOT give that toast! That is hilarious, even funnier if it's true (the prayer part).
Well... they were GOOD!!!
I want to be present whenever Jack makes a toast -- unless it's my own even. He never ceases to surprise me.
that is hilarious! What a sweetie!
