Corporate Christmas parties

Around Christmas time every year Corporate America likes to pretend that they are in high school again and throw a holiday prom party. Everybody gets dressed up, hair is sprayed, nails painted and you go for dinner, dancing and drinks. ( My usual is a Shirley Temple) Well, I am bored with my current Holiday party dresses and I am looking for something new. Any ideas?? Do you have a favorite store? Seen a great dress in a window? Everything I see is strapless. I DO NOT want a prom dress( I went to prom when I was 18 and that was enough for me) just something appropriate for a night out. I would like to say that there will be a winner for the favorite dress competition.... but it would be a lie. So, if you have some time to kill or you just want an excuse to surf the net keep my Holiday party dress in mind. Happy Hunting!

FUN!

JCrew is my favorite place to shop... the dresses are super cute. Too much for our college budget, but I know Paul is making the big bucks;)

You should go in your old prom dress! I am serious. If you are going to do it do it right. I am sure mom still has it (she has my Indian costume with full headdress from 6th grade in dad's closet.) Get the old dress out buy some aquanet and get those bangs nice and big, have Paul get a cheap rental tux and if he was a real man have him get a kilt or the tux shorts and then dance like it is 1985 again. (Now I know you graduated in the 90's but come on you know the dances from the 80's were better... way more flailing.)

Stacy, you'd look great even in a potato sack. I won't give you advice on a dress because you'd probably look like the other women my age. Just be sure Paul looks acceptable, okay?

I have to say that I have had this problem many time... I have a few stores I go to first. Banana Republic & White Black. As far as strapless and stuff I have gotten sleevless and then bought a small cardigan or shall to cover the sleeves. It works like a charm. I'll look around and send you some links.

You are so on top of things- I am still thinking about halloween costumes and here you are thinking about Christmas already.
I love anything black that ties around the waist. I have like 10 of the exact same dress in my closet, so I am not a good person to give advice.
